Robin McClintock relocated from Tribeca to a rural farm in the Appalachian Mountains in 1998. She has received grants from the National Endowment of the Arts, the West Virginia Commission on the Arts / National Endowment of the Arts (2X), and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Tucker Community Foundation and the Tucker County Cultural District Authority. McClintock was trained as a painter/printmaker at the State University of New York, College at Purchase. She has also received a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award.
McClintock often exploits non traditional industrial processes in her work and translates her images on other surfaces. These textiles are a direct translation of specific paintings.
